Naija’s finest rapper and Choc City boss, M.I Abaga has made a statement that puts Naija Hip Hop on a high pedestal, as he recently noted on TV that the Nigerian Hip Hop industry should make the list of top five industries in the world.
The rapper made that declaration during an interview session with HIP TV recently where he shared his thoughts on a couple of other issues.
But his opinion on Naija hip hop could not help making rounds on the internet, given the high standard the rapper has set for the culture. Back in 2017, he said something similar which prompted many reactions.
If you still remember, the rapper had earlier sparked a discussion on the state of Nigerian Hip- hop in 2017 during one of the episodes of Loose Talk Podcast, after which he followed with his controversial “Fix Up Your Life” song that got South African rappers alleging that Naija rappers are not known in their country. This time around, the punchline rapper, who obviously holds the Naija hip-hop industry in high regard, noted that Naija hip-hop should make the list of top five industries in the world.
